Alpaca stole

WITH OPENWORK INSERTS AND FRINGE

A hand-woven stole made from soft, 100% alpaca yarn.
To give it a sense of lightness, I incorporated openwork sections into the weave. Once it was off the loom, I felt it needed a bit more “movement,” so I added fringe within the openwork inserts. The result of combining these techniques was so satisfying that I decided to create capes as well…
