THE DIAMANTINA. HISTORICAL WEAVING WORKSHOP – 4 HOURS
The weaving workshop on this ancient textile will include theorical and practical lessons at the craft. Laboratory in wich the history of the diamantina will be told. We will also experience the hand-loom weaving of this ancient fabric.
The diamantina is a small lozenge which is used to create both home and clothing textiles and with which the rennaissance dress, exhibithed at the national museum of palazzo reale in Pisa, was made of.
Eventually the afternoon can be arranged to visit the palazzo Reale (about a couple of hours). Not included in the price.
