PEASANT FABRICS. HISTORICAL WEAVING WORKSHOP – 4 HOURS
The workshop will include theoretical and practical lessons about peasants fabrics, learning and experiencing it on the hand loom.
The clever weaving technique of peasants fabrics has been used by local people to create the most precious fabrics for wedding dowry or important clothes, using a simple hand-loom. These typical fabrics can be found all over Italy, especially in Tuscany, home of many of its fascinating variations.
It is possible to arrange visits to the most significant and suggestive textile locations in the Garfagnana region (not included in the price).
At the end of the course, the participants will receive a certificate and the piece they have created.
